Planning the perfect day out in Sydney city is only minutes away with our latest blog at your fingertips. You may have seen our last few blogs, A Perfect Day in The Rocks and Millers Point and A Perfect Day in Circular Quay. Now we bring you the Barangaroo and King Street Wharf edition.

The history of Barangaroo is rich and diverse, entrenched in the lives of the traditional custodians of the land, the Gadigal people. Barangaroo is in fact named after a powerful Cammeraygal woman who lived in the area at the time of early colonial settlement. She was a key figure in local Aboriginal culture and community. There is lots to see and do in this precinct so join us as we bring you another perfect day in Sydney.

The Itinerary

9am: Arrive in style

With Sydney being a harbour city, it would be a shame not to take advantage of our glorious backdrop and arrive in style via the water. Jump on the ferry and get off at ‘Sydney Aquarium’ wharf to position yourself perfectly for the beginning of your adventure.

9am to 10.30am: Visit one of Sydney’s iconic attractions, ‘SEA LIFE’ Aquarium

Take in the awe of the colourful creatures on display at SEA LIFE Aquarium. The aquarium has an array of sea life including penguins, sharks, seahorses and even a dugong.

10.30am to 11.00am: Enjoy a walk along the harbour foreshore

Walk along King Street Wharf to the streets of Barangaroo taking in the waterfront atmosphere, boats, and prestige apartments. You will be heading north today, but the foreshore walk actually extends all the way from Darling Harbour to Woolloomooloo if you fancy a longer stroll on another day.

11am to 12.00pm: Explore the ‘Streets of Barangaroo’

After your walk, you will reach the area that is referred to as the ‘streets of Barangaroo’ on the corner of Shelley Street and Barangaroo Avenue. This newly constructed area is home to several global corporations who have claimed the commercial hub as their new home. Stroll the streets and explore some shops, if you fancy a pick me up before lunch, we highly recommend paying a visit to Shortstop for a tasty donut.
