Ayre Real Estate named Australia’s Best New Office in REB Awards 2020

Real Estate entrepreneur Adrian Wilson, alongside business partners Craig Donohue and Kate Sommervelle, celebrated Ayre Real Estate’s first anniversary by taking out the New Office of The Year Award at REB 2020 Awards. Ayre Real Estate launched in June 2020, located in Sydney’s Hyde Park precinct with a promise to deliver an apartment focused agency for the city and inner-city property market.

Having been out of agency since 2014 following the sale of his first agency Wilson Property Agents, but still involved in the property industry, Adrian was keen to establish a market dominating agency in Sydney City. The past 12 months have certainly been eventful. Starting from a zero base, the agency has exchanged 24 sales at a total value of over $50 million with average sale price of $2,123,878, their highest sale being $6.4 million, with 13 record prices achieved, while increasing their properties managed by 40%.

Adrian’s top 10 tips to those launching an agency in a down market, as he did back in 2008, or to get through a global pandemic as they have done in 2020, include:

1. Hiring the right people. Ensure they share the same vision, goals and dedication to provide premium service.

2. Strong focus on lead generation with strategic email communication program and make sure you have a functional CRM that sorts and finds data in the way you want it to.

3. Utilise the expertise of a professional Social Media Agency, providing quality content and market awareness.

4. Have a dedicated external Public Relations Agency, promoting our client’s properties and brand.

5. Marketing tools with unique approach that reflect your location and demographic property marketing.

6. Quality listing appraisal, agency promotional material and property marketing to stand out from the crowd.

7. Location of office, including design, fit-out, presentation and window display for brand awareness and property promotion.

8. Strong branding. Having the vision and values for the brand mapped out from the start, as well as a commitment to outstanding videos, photography and copywriting, sets the agency up for success from day one.

9. Utilise review platforms to collate supportive 3rd party endorsements of your business.

10. Ongoing training, coaching and education for every person in the team, not just the sales agents.
