01. Babylon Rooftop & Garden Bar

Babylon is inspired by an Ancient Middle Eastern oasis featuring burnt orange hues and pink mauves. Brought to you by interior designers Stewart + Highfields and architects Hogg & Lamb Babylon, it features a large outdoor terrace and multiple private dining spaces. Babylon’s head chef Arman Uz is of Turkish heritage and the menu is inspired by Middle Eastern and Eastern Mediterranean cooking which features fan favourites such as Sardine Dolmas and Gozleme and Pide. The rooftop bar serves $10 pocket sized cocktails, if the stunning outdoor terrace was not enough to convince you to experience Babylon Rooftop.

02. Slims Rooftop

Slims Rooftop is featured in the four-story Hyde Park House which overlooks Hyde Park and CBD offering stunning uninterrupted views of the city and westerly sunset. The rooftop features retro frill umbrellas, lush tropical greenery, and picnic tables. Slims rooftop offers a Modern Asian Infusion “Izakaya” style food with a mix of Asian-inspired drinks, classic cocktails. Some popular drinks include the Aperol Spritz and famous Million Dollar Mermaid to cool you down on a spectacular summer afternoon.

03. Taylor’s Rooftop

Taylor’s Rooftop is a vertical hidden garden oasis on the fourth floor of the Republic Hotel on Pitt Street. The rooftop bar is a great social space in the day time which transforms into a dance floor with a DJ by night. Offering fruity and fresh cocktails they also have a wide variety of beers if cocktails aren’t your thing. Their drinks menu includes a Frozen Coconut Margarita and the Post Malone cocktail.

04. Ivy Pool Club

Ivy Pool Club is an exclusive rooftop pool club which resembles a Hollywood Palm Springs retreat. It features an open-air crystal-clear pool, palm trees, cocktails, private booths and cabanas as well as a private penthouse for an exclusive VIP experience. There are multiple dance floors and sold out events that the Merivale Group hosts including the Australia Day Party and Marco Polo which occurs every Sunday in the summer season.

05. East Village

Located in the heart of Darlinghurst the East village rooftop ‘Beach Club’ offers three very diverse floors. The third floor holding the gem East Village Terrace Rooftop, offers panoramic skyline views of the city. The venue features a bright and colourful venue which resembles an 80’s pool party featuring rainbow umbrellas and palm trees to truly embrace your summer. You can also find yourself an excellent selection of whiskey and rum and tap beer to top it off.

06. The Royal Hotel

The recently updated four story hotel located in the middle of Paddington is the perfect mix of a traditional sports pub and very trendy rooftop to spend your summer sunsets. It serves a classic pub food menu with chicken parmigiana, chicken wings and steak. The eastern suburbs rooftop presents a stunning view of Sydney and is a popular place for locals to spend their summer but the rooftop is not as big as other places so make sure you get there early to secure your spot.

07. The Butler

The Butler is hidden in the streets of Potts Point and is brought to you by the team behind other notorious restaurants and bars like SoCal and Bondi Hardware. This rooftop bar is a hit amongst Sydneysiders providing Ibero-American food and cocktails in a luxurious plant filled room with an open patio bar. It features a crisp and clean white interior, botanical atmosphere and French colonial theme. The Butler features the most breathtaking panoramic views of Sydney and is definitely a spot to put on your bucket list.
